Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced General Construction Worker / Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and experience operating in a construction environment. The ideal candidate will safely transport heavy equipment, machinery, materials, and tools to and from job sites while also performing hands-on construction work as a member of our civil, electrical, and telecommunications crews.
This is not a driving-only position. When transportation duties are complete, the employee will actively assist field crews with construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Equipment Hauling
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, trailers, and transport equipment.
- Haul heavy construction equipment, machinery, tools, and materials between construction sites, vendors, and yard locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required DOT documentation.
- Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups to support field operations and project schedules.
General Construction
· Assist Foreman and crews with daily construction activities across civil, telecom, and electrical projects
· Support civil work including excavation, trenching, grading, formwork, rebar, and concrete placement
· Assist with installation of EV infrastructure and telecommunications systems
· Operate or assist with equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, and other job site machinery
· Perform general site work including material handling, cleanup, and site organization
· Maintain a safe, clean, and productive job site in accordance with company and OSHA standards

Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Crane operator certification and experience (Preferred).
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating commercial trucks and trailers.
- 2–5 years of construction experience (civil, site development, or commercial preferred).
- Experience hauling heavy construction equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of load securement practices and DOT regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic equipment maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
