The Brooklyn Job Corps Center is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Center Director to provide strategic leadership and oversee all aspects of center operations. This executive-level role is responsible for ensuring excellence in student success, workforce development, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and staff leadership while fulfilling the U.S. Department of Labor's mission of preparing young adults for meaningful careers and independent living.

Provide overall leadership and management of center operations, including academics, career technical training, residential services, health and wellness, counseling, career transition, facilities, safety, human resources, and administration.

Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team while fostering a positive, accountable, and student-centered culture.

Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Labor requirements, Job Corps Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH), company policies, and all federal, state, and local regulations.

Drive achievement of operational, financial, and performance goals, including student outcomes, placement, safety, and quality assurance metrics.

Oversee budget management, strategic planning, data integrity, and continuous process improvement.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, workforce development agencies, educational institutions, employers, and government stakeholders.

Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, employee engagement, and professional development while promoting a culture of integrity, respect, and accountability.

Ensure a safe, secure, and supportive environment for students and staff.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in workforce development, education, human services, government contracting, or a residential training environment.

Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams and managing complex operations.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulatory compliance, budgeting, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.

Experience with Job Corps or other federally funded workforce development programs is highly preferred.
