Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to lead our facilities maintenance and engineering operations. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards and industry best practices.
- Oversee the repair, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC units, plumbing systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and other building infrastructure.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs from planning through execution while maintaining strict safety protocols.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot engineering issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Manage facilities maintenance budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships to optimize operational costs while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Ensure all facilities meet regulatory requirements by staying current with safety regulations related to electrical systems, HVAC systems repair, plumbing maintenance, and industrial maintenance protocols.
- Lead emergency response efforts related to mechanical or electrical failures ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members through training sessions on safety regulations and proper maintenance procedures.
Experience
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or engineering teams in an industrial or large commercial setting.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC system troubleshooting and repair using schematics and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems installation, repair (including high voltage), low voltage wiring, and electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards applicable to industrial environments and facility operations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
- Experience utilizing CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities managing teams effectively while fostering a safety-first environment.
- Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques essential for comprehensive facilities management.
