POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Foreman supervises production foremen and teams for Mathew Phelps Enterprises, Inc., ensuring adherence to safety standards, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship. This role entails high technical support for the Production Department. Supports the Production Manager in crew performance management, implementing strategies to meet key performance indicators and performing other duties as needed by the Company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Before leaving for the job:
- Review job specifications to determine materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job.
- Load the truck with such materials, tools, and equipment.
Upon arriving at the job site:
- Assesses the conditions of the job.
- Plans time allotment, tools needed, order of work, and workload for the team.
- Adjusts for conditions, making changes from the original job order as needed.
At the jobsite:
- Assign tasks to the team.
- Motivate and train the team on proper handling of materials and tools and approved methods of installation.
- Ensure company policies and procedures, as well as safety guidelines, are followed.
- Track the team’s hours.
- Move job progress to completion at a pace to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshoot situations and innovate processes on the spot as needed.
- Communicate with the team promptly about installation progress and changes needing to be made from the original job order.
- Collect payments throughout the installation progress.
Communicate with:
- Ongoing communication with customers throughout the job.
- Ensure all paperwork is done thoroughly and accurately, promptly uploaded to the Company’s CRM and given to the proper parties. Clear and timely communication in all change order needs requiring customers’ attention.
- Communication with engineer for job changes and RFI’s as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Is the go-to for technical skillset.
- Leads and directs foremen and crews in assembling correct tooling, supplies, products, and skillset to complete projects.
- Implements job requirements per engineering/construction plans.
- Is an ambassador for the company’s culture and purpose.
- Drives for the company in a safe manner.
- Regular, reliable on-site attendance.
- Perform other duties as needed for the success of our team.
- Will act as foreman on designated jobs.
- Assist in ensuring that equipment is in proper working order.
- As necessary, immediately escalates customer issues to the team and chain of command to find a timely solution.
Safety, Quality, Efficiency
- Stays up-to-date on production best practices for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintains applicable OSHA certifications (OSHA 30).
- Works with the Safety Coordinator in the understanding and the onsite implementation of worksite injury prevention and safety concerns.
- Participates in all safety related meetings both in office and onsite.
- Invests in Leadership and self-growth through participating in continuous learning and development.
- Makes and communicates adjustments to best practices when needed.
- Ensures all aspects of installations are performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
- Ensures all work meets specifications (drawings, site plans) and maintains a clean, safe, and productive job site.

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
