Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the production process by operating equipment, handling materials, and ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery with precision, adhering to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of production tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organizing inventory within the warehouse or production area.
- Support packaging operations by preparing finished products for shipment according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Conduct basic quality checks and laboratory tests to verify product specifications and report any deviations.
- Utilize forklift equipment safely for materials handling and inventory movement within the facility.
- Document production activities accurately, including batch records, equipment logs, and quality reports.
- Collaborate with team members across departments such as warehouse, quality assurance, and engineering to meet production goals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred; laboratory experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and materials handling processes.
- Familiarity with CGMP regulations applicable to pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing is advantageous.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment safely.
- Basic machining skills or experience with machining processes is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and process adherence.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
