Eastern Floral & Gift is currently seeking a Full-Time Plantscape Technician to join our team.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is dynamic, positive, and hardworking. The Plantscape Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and care of assigned plants and client accounts, while representing Eastern Floral in a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Key Job Function
· Responsible for the maintenance of all assigned plants for specific residential and commercial accounts; water, pest control, pruning, cleaning, and trimming.
· Responsible for the maintenance of the Greenhouse and ‘Rooted’ areas of the Eastern Floral Gift Shop: water, pest control, pruning, cleaning, and trimming.
· Ability to design planters and support the Planters department of Eastern Floral
· Ability to recognize and replace substandard plants in a timely manner
· Excellent customer service skills and response to customer requests, always maintaining Eastern Floral’s standard of excellent customer service
· Lead and participate in design classes related to Plantscapes provided by Eastern Floral for customers as opportunities arise
· Assist in the billing of new items for Plantscape needs
· Responsible for the inventory tracking for accounts, maintaining neat, current and accurate records
· Maintain close communication with the department supervisor for account questions and issues
·Provide excellent in-store and phone customer service by assisting with product selection, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience, as these interactions are central to our business
· Complete other duties assigned by the Plantscape Supervisor
Experience and Qualifications Requirements
· Candidates must have professional experience and training in plants and plant care, as well as a passion for working with plants
· Demonstrated excellent customer skills and a customer satisfaction attitude
· Must maintain a neat, professional appearance
· Highly organized and dependable, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing tasks efficiently
· Ability to work independently for extended periods of time and serve as a trusted provider of services on accounts
· Exceptional written, oral, and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
· Candidates must complete all required background checks successfully as part of the hiring process
· Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
· Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
· Ability to push and pull loads
· Must be able to lift frequently up to 50 lbs.; occasionally 50-100 lbs. with assistance
· Good hand-eye coordination
