An Orange County, NY based organization is seeking a highly experienced, disciplined, and security-focused Executive Protection Specialist to provide dedicated, in-person protection. This full-time, live-out role supports a fast-paced executive environment where discretion, professionalism, exceptional judgment, and a proactive security mindset are paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted security presence, responsible for protecting principals while anticipating, assessing, and mitigating potential risks in both routine and dynamic environments.
This is a highly visible role requiring extensive experience in executive protection and a proven ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with executive leadership, family office personnel, and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in elite military, federal law enforcement, or specialized armed forces, with experience safeguarding high-profile individuals in complex domestic and international environments.
The primary responsibility of this position is the physical protection of senior executives during business activities, public appearances, meetings, travel, and other engagements throughout the Tri-State area and beyond. The Executive Protection Specialist will conduct advance planning, threat assessments, venue security evaluations, and protective intelligence while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
This is a full-time, year-round position consisting primarily of a Monday-Friday schedule, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, overnight travel, and emergency response as operational needs dictate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide close protection for senior executives in corporate, public, and private settings.

Conduct advance work, site assessments, route analysis, and security planning prior to executive movements and events.

Continuously assess threats, identify vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate protective measures.

Maintain constant situational awareness and exercise sound judgment in rapidly evolving environments.

Coordinate closely with executive assistants, corporate leadership, venue security, local law enforcement, and outside security partners.

Develop and maintain executive protection protocols, emergency response procedures, and contingency plans.

Monitor intelligence, security trends, and potential risks affecting executive travel, meetings, and public appearances.

Respond appropriately to medical emergencies, security incidents, or crisis situations while maintaining the safety of principals.

Prepare detailed incident reports, security assessments, and after-action documentation as required.

Ensure complete confidentiality regarding executive schedules, business activities, travel plans, and sensitive information.

Support executive travel planning, including hotel assessments, venue security coordination, and protective logistics.

Maintain professional readiness, equipment accountability, and physical fitness standards at all times.

Perform additional executive protection and security-related responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding references from current and previous employers.

Minimum 7+ years of executive protection experience supporting senior executives, corporate leadership, government officials, or ultra-high-net-worth principals.

Prior service in a Tier One or elite military special operations unit (e.g., Delta Force, DEVGRU/SEAL Team Six, Army Special Forces, Marine Raiders, Air Force Special Tactics), the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Service, or comparable federal protective agency strongly preferred.

Experience conducting protective intelligence, threat assessments, advance operations, and protective planning.

Demonstrated ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective under pressure.

Exceptional situational awareness, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.

Current CPR/AED and tactical medical certifications preferred.

Valid driver's license with an exemplary driving record.

Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances or certifications.

Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a high-tempo executive protection role.

Compensation:
Salary: $120,000 $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, specialized training, and overall qualifications. Discretionary performance-based annual bonus potential.
