Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Handle medical collections accurately, including processing payments.
- Maintain detailed records of pet information, treatment plans, and veterinary notes using specialized software
- Assist with kennel management tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals’ behavior to support animal husbandry efforts
- Support veterinary staff by preparing treatment areas, sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques, and managing laboratory samples
- Facilitate communication between pet owners and veterinary team members regarding pet care instructions and follow-up appointments
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services, procedures, and pet health tips
Requirements
- Previous experience in veterinary reception or customer service roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care practices
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary critical care procedures, and laboratory processes enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to handle a variety of animals including dogs, and cats.
- Excellent communication skills with an energetic approach to engaging clients and team members alike
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
