· Develops project specific sourcing strategy to optimize overall cost position in accordance with Division sourcing strategies
· Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
· Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings.
· Generates, documents and implements savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
· Communicates with suppliers regarding acknowledgement and expediting of purchase orders.
· Assesses and develops suppliers from a technological view.
· Monitors and reports pertinent issues and information to management for awareness, knowledge and action
· Drafts and tracks call correspondence necessary to request recovery items. Supports claim management activities
How You’ll Make an Impact
· Issue high volume of Purchase Orders in SAP PS1 for low to medium complexity parts. Minimum 2 years of SAP Buying experience is required for this role.
· Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.

· Demonstrates clear understanding of Terms & Conditions of Purchases and ability to understand and negotiate the contract with suppliers to protect Siemens Energy and Clients from exposure due to supplier caused issues
· Able to work in a fast paced, varied environment and manage priorities while maintaining a positive, customer focused attitude
· Support the implementation of new procedures and/or operational changes to support Company vision and strategy
About the Team
The Telge Rd. Procurement team is in charge of all procurement activities related to the packaging of the Gas Turbine driven Compression and Power Generation packages, along with Motor driven packages and assembly and test of the Centrifugal Compressor product line for Oil & Gas / Industrial Application clients.
