Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinical Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing clinical documentation standards and diagnostic evaluation tools such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities such as child & family counseling, grief counseling, art therapy, dance therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management strategies and crisis intervention protocols to ensure client safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to support continuous improvement of treatment outcomes and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related mental health field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience with autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and clinical documentation standards.
- Proficiency in delivering telehealth therapy sessions along with in-person care; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential.
- Expertise in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with calmness and professionalism; experience in crisis management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams; experience working with co-occurring disorders is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health care; understanding of HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines is mandatory.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
