Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to support a busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will have strong chairside assisting skills, experience with oral surgery procedures, and proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 Year of Chairside Dental Assisting Experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR Documentation
- Completion of a Certified Dental Assisting Program
- Chairside Dental Assisting
- Four-Handed Dentistry
- Oral Surgery Assistance (Extractions, Implants, and Related Procedures)
- Oral X-Rays
- Panoramic Imaging
- Patient Preparation and Education
- Instrument Preparation and Sterilization
- Electronic Medical Record Documentation
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
- Support oral surgery procedures, including extractions and implant cases
- Take and process dental radiographs, including panoramic images
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within EPIC
- Ensure proper sterilization and infection control practices
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment
