Job description:
Westside Veterinary Hospital is a small, privately owned veterinary hospital seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling, typically ranging from 34–40 hours per week. Pay $17.50 – $20.50 per hour Pay is based on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities
-Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care
- Run exam rooms and obtain patient histories
-Assist doctors in developing and carrying out treatment plans Properly restrain dogs and cats for exams and procedures
-Draw blood samples and place IV catheters
-Assist with radiographs using proper positioning techniques
-Prepare and maintain treatment and surgical areas
- Monitor hospitalized patients
-Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
-Provide exceptional client communication and customer service
-Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
Qualifications
-Minimum of 1 year veterinary experience is required
-Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations professionally
