American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care ICU (CCU) position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Neuro Critical Care (CCU) unit in a hospital setting specializing in neurosurgical and neurological intensive care
-
10-bed unit caring for patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
-
Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity

Equipment includes Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer

EMR: Epic (training provided if needed)

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week

Every other weekend commitment required
-
Floating to other inpatient areas required when the home unit is at low census
-
No on-call requirements
-
13-week contract
-
Active IN or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required

Experience with hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients required

Strong comprehensive and neurological assessment skills required

Experience with Pupillometer, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic preferred

US Social Security Number required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill neurosurgical and neurological patients
-
EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process; candidates are allowed 2 attempts — if not passed, reapplication to this facility is permitted after 30 days

Orientation includes completion of online modules, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit orientation

Navy scrubs required; hoodies are not permitted

Candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
