Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage corporate accounting processes such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- Direct treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment oversight, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial projection models utilizing data analytics tools to support decision-making on investments, cost control, and revenue management.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards while managing risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports, interpret complex financial data for stakeholders, and facilitate strategic discussions on profit & loss performance.
- Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and ensure accurate account analysis while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify growth opportunities through financial insights and industry knowledge of financial markets.
- Manage a diverse finance team by providing mentorship, setting clear objectives, and promoting professional development in areas such as technical accounting, financial software systems, and industry regulations.
Skills
- Extensive experience with IAS, IFRS, GAAP standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Strong background in corporate finance, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Excel data analysis, data analytics platforms, and advanced financial software systems.
- Expertise in risk management practices related to financial operations and strategic planning initiatives.
- Proven ability in budget development, forecasting accuracy, cost control measures, and fiscal management strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing finance teams across multiple functions including cost management, investment oversight, and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of industry-specific financial regulations coupled with technical proficiency in accounting systems and accrual accounting methods.
- Ability to develop comprehensive financial models that support business development efforts and strategic decision-making processes.
- Strong communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and interpreting complex data for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of industry trends in financial markets along with a proactive approach to compliance management.
