Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobby areas, and other public spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and polishing floors to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Safely operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Manage chemical agent handling with precision, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal in compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or supplies to facilitate efficient cleaning processes.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery and sanitation standards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room amenities, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety procedures followed, and any maintenance issues encountered during shifts.
- Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial cleaning techniques and custodial responsibilities.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and sanitation standards is advantageous.
- Knowledge of chemical handling practices and the use of cleaning equipment ensures safe and effective operations.
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments has equipped candidates with strong customer service skills and an understanding of hotel emergency procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing while maintaining high attention to detail.
