As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our community remains safe, functional, and beautiful for residents, families, and team members.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, painting, and carpentry work.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure community systems operate efficiently.
- Help maintain compliance with safety standards, building regulations, and community policies.
- Assist residents with approved move-in requests such as hanging pictures, installing shelves, mounting clocks, and other approved accommodations.
- Assist with landscaping, seasonal projects, and general grounds maintenance as needed.
- Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, inventory logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to support resident satisfaction and community operations.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and resident evacuation efforts when necessary.
Qualifications
- At least two years of maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily housing environments.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Life Safety Code, and building safety standard.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Painting
- HVAC
- General repairs
- Refurbishing
- Facility maintenance
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with residents, families, vendors, and team members.
