JOB SUMMARY
The Practice Administrator provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for multiple ambulatory clinic locations within an assigned service area. Clinics under the Practice Administrator’s leadership meet defined criteria for scope based on FTE count, patient volume, clinical complexity, and operational footprint. The Practice Administrator ensures high-quality patient care, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency across all assigned locations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance & Regulatory Readiness

Leads and oversees practice-wide compliance programs, including Environment of Care (EOC), Infection Prevention (IP), and regulatory/accreditation readiness

Maintains centralized tracking of survey findings, action plans, and deadlines across all clinic locations

Ensures corrective actions are fully implemented and sustained over time

Partners with clinical leadership to support compliance initiatives while reducing administrative burden

Project Management & Execution
-
Serves as the central owner for practice-level projects and initiatives
-
Develops timelines, assigns ownership, and tracks progress to completion
-
Conducts routine follow-up and status monitoring to ensure accountability

Escalates delays, risks, and barriers to leadership

Operational Standardization Across locations
-
Ensures consistent implementation of workflows, policies, and procedures across all sites

Reduces variation between service lines (ENT and Ophthalmology)

Partners with clinic leadership to operationalize system and organizational standards

Monitors adherence and supports continuous improvement
-
Facilities, Environment of Care & Vendor Coordination
-
Serves as the primary point of contact for facilities, infrastructure, and equipment coordination
-
Oversees preventive maintenance tracking and documentation compliance
-
Coordinates vendor relationships and system partner activities
-
Ensures alignment with EOC standards across all locations
-
Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Acts as the centralized liaison for key operational partners, including compliance, facilities, supply chain, finance, and human resources

Facilitates communication and coordination across departments
-
Reduces duplication of effort and fragmented escalation pathways
-
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
-
Develops and maintains dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools for compliance, project status, and operational metrics

Provides regular performance updates to leadership

Identifies trends and opportunities for improvement
-
Strategic Execution & Leadership Support
-
Translates organizational strategies into actionable operational plans
-
Supports implementation of new initiatives and system changes
-
Ensures alignment between leadership direction and execution at the clinic level
-
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
-
Work requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree.
-
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in ambulatory or hospital operations, with at least two years in a leadership role managing multiple clinic or departmental locations.

Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
