Job Title: Maintenance & Facilities Attendant
Position Summary
The Maintenance & Facilities Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the clubhouse and event spaces. This position focuses primarily on cleaning restrooms, common areas, and banquet rooms while assisting with general maintenance projects to ensure members and guests enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to perform a variety of tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all club restrooms, ensuring they remain fully stocked with supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, dining areas, locker rooms, and other public spaces.
- Clean, set up, and break down banquet rooms before and after weddings, events, and club functions.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
- Monitor building cleanliness and respond promptly to spills or other housekeeping needs.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including painting, touch-up work, and minor repairs.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to the Facilities Engineer.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance projects and special cleaning assignments.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with members, guests, and fellow employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, housekeeping, maintenance, or facilities experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks such as painting and simple repairs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts, furniture, and cleaning equipment.
- Work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, ladders, and maintenance tools.
Schedule
This is a part-time position. Hours will be approximately 6 am - 10 am. Scheduled days are flexible and can be coordinated during the interview process.
