Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Handle medical billing, collections, and insurance processing accurately and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions using veterinary terminology and record-keeping systems
- Occasional need to assist with animal handling tasks such as restraint during examinations or procedures, ensuring safety for pets and staff
- Support veterinary staff with consistent and detailed communication
- Light janitorial duties to keep the front of office clean and presentable
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care using clear veterinary terminology
- Some clerical duties to assist owner with account management and accounting
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary reception or customer service within an animal care setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and laboratory procedures to support clinical workflows
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks including scheduling, billing, and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients, team members, and external vendors
