Overview
Join Little Folks of Fourth's early childhood education team as a Part-Time Preschool Teachers Aide, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. In this role, you will support our 2 lead teachers in implementing educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the safety and well-being of every student.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in daily duties (cleaning, preperation, transitions)
- Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and positive behavior.
- Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or special needs such as autism.
- Play on floor with 1k students.
- Assist in snack time, cleaning and daily routines.
- Follow regulations provided by ABC and DSS.
Skills
- Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or classroom environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to supervise children actively while demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support teaching activities.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulations such as the ABC Quality and DSS.
- Pediatric first aid and CPR certification to ensure safety in emergency situations.
- High energy and able to move quickly as well as get up and down from floor without support.
