Duties
- Clear and reset tables promptly, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area for guests
- Buss tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, then sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Load, operate, and unload dishwashers safely while managing heavy loads with proper manual handling techniques
- Assist in food handling tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic prep or cleanup activities
- Maintain cleanliness of all service areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces through regular cleaning routines
- Support catering events or special functions by providing efficient bussing and cleanup assistance
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate smooth service flow and address any issues promptly
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety regulations in restaurant or hospitality settings
- Experience in bussing tables and supporting food service operations in restaurants or hotels is preferred
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper lifting practices
- Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and sanitation standards within the food industry
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve guests courteously
- Basic understanding of kitchen experience or food handling procedures is advantageous
