About the Property
The Jade is a 238-unit apartment community in Winter Haven - a professionally managed property with high standards for grounds appearance and curb appeal. We're looking for a self-directed contractor who takes ownership of how the property looks and delivers consistent results without needing daily oversight.
Scope of Work
- Mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing across the full property
- Planting, replanting, plant relocation and removal
- Mulching, weeding, and ongoing plant bed maintenance
- Debris removal and grounds cleanup
- Touch-up exterior painting - buildings, curbs, railings, fences
- Minor irrigation upkeep and sprinkler adjustments
- General exterior curb appeal upkeep
Work is evaluated on the condition and appearance of the grounds. You manage your own approach and schedule to meet that standard.
What We're Looking For
- Verifiable landscaping or groundskeeping experience — real job titles and employers; a skills list alone will not be considered
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to service the Winter Haven location
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida conditions year-round
- Spanish-speaking preferred, not required
Handyman Background a Strong Plus
Candidates who bring broader property skills are preferred. If your background includes any of the following, make sure to highlight it:
- Touch-up and interior/exterior painting
- Light plumbing or irrigation repairs
- Low voltage or basic electrical knowledge
- General cosmetic and curb appeal repairs
- Prior work at apartment communities or residential properties
We value contractors who bring a broad skillset and can handle what a property needs.

- Pay: $18–$20/hr depending on experience and background
