CNC Machinist
Basta Boatlifts is hiring! We have an excellent opportunity for a experienced CNC Machinist in SeaTac, WA.
We are looking for someone with experience running a 5 axis CNC mill. They need to have done machining manually as well at some point in their career. The ideal candidate will be excited to come to work everyday and building parts they can be proud of. The primary responsibility of this role is running our CR Onsrud X series extrusion mill, milling custom aluminum extrusions. They also need to be willing and interested to step into manual mode when needed to help others with operating a cold saw, chop saw, auto-feed bandsaw, drill press, ironworker or lathe. With a manufacturing team of 12, the right candidate for us is someone who is not only a great machinist but is a great team player who will to jump in and help throughout the shop when needed. Welding experience is a plus, but not required. Must have skills:
- Minimum of 2 years operating a 5-axis CNC machine cutting metal
- Ability to read and interpret drawings or sketches for fabricating and assembling mechanical equipment
- Experience operating manual machining equipment and common fabrication tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Good team player
- Supportive of change
- Can clearly communicate, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work on your feet all day
- Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, presses, and machining equipment
- Experience with basic power and hand tools.
- History of good attendance- on-time, every day
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Prior employer references

Shift:
- Monday - Thursday 6:00-4:30
- Seasonal OT on Fridays
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
