Position Summary
Seabreeze Building, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day construction of projects throughout Palm Beach County. The Field Superintendent will be responsible for proficiently interpreting blueprints, conducting layouts, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining construction schedules, monitoring workmanship, and ensuring compliance with construction documents and Seabreeze Building’s quality standards. This hands-on, field-based leadership position requires strong critical thinking skills, emphasizing organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and the importance of accurate layout execution.
Responsibilities
- Proficiently interpret blueprints and conduct layouts
- Direct and supervise daily construction activities from commencement through project completion
- Work with the Project Manager to develop and implement the overall project schedule
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics, including the work of all trades to maintain an orderly construction sequence
- Verify that each subcontractor performs its complete contracted scope of work
- Serve as the onsite liaison for municipal and third-party inspectors
- Ensure construction is installed according to approved plans and design documents
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, workmanship, safety and site conditions
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the project plans, specifications, milestones, and deadlines
- Review plans, specifications, approved submittals, shop drawings, and finish details before work is installed
- Verify that subcontractors perform their work in accordance with the contract documents and approved standards
- Inspect completed work before allowing subsequent trades to proceed
- Identify deficient or incomplete work and ensure corrective action is completed promptly
- Anticipate field conflicts and resolve issues before they affect the project schedule
- Coordinate temporary utilities, access, parking, material storage, protection, and housekeeping
- Ensure the project is secured and properly protected at the end of each workday
- Photograph and document construction progress, concealed conditions, and completed work
- Maintain accurate daily reports
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of superintendent or field-management experience in residential construction
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, sequencing, and finish standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and complex construction schedules
- Familiarity with permitting and inspection requirements in Palm Beach County and surrounding municipalities is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and quality-control procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Technology Requirements
Candidates should be proficient with:
- Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or comparable construction-management software
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bluebeam or comparable plan-review software
- Construction scheduling and cost-tracking systems

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
