As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant who wants to build a long-term career in accounting and finance. This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to develop into a senior accounting or finance leadership role over time.
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple companies while learning the financial and operational aspects of a growing business environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow professionally.
The successful candidate will work directly with company leadership and outside accounting partners while gradually taking on increasing levels of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Monitor accounts receivable and collections
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Online
Financial Operations
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Track project-related expenses and profitability
- Maintain expense reporting systems and workflows
- Assist with payroll and contractor payment administration
Multi-Company Support
- Support accounting functions for 3 companies
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses between entities
Administrative & Process Improvement
- Help improve accounting workflows and procedures
- Assist with document organization and record retention
- Support annual tax preparation and CPA requests
- Participate in special projects and operational initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow professionally
Preferred
- Experience with multiple business entities
- Experience with payroll processing
- Experience with expense management platforms
- Understanding of basic financial reporting concepts
