Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Palace Pizza in Hihghland city . As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. This is a vital role in our Dietary department, where you will help create delicious meals and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and portion sizes
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu plans and suggest improvements
- Assist with catering events as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
