Operating as a "player-coach," this role offers the ideal transition for an experienced professional ready to step into a leadership capacity. You will manage daily accounting operations while partnering closely with property management teams to ensure financial integrity, precision, and operational excellence.

- Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and expense recoveries.
- Interpret and apply commercial lease terms, including NNN and reimbursement structures
- Coordinate annual budgets and assist with forecasting and variance analysis.
- Work closely with property managers, ownership, lenders, and external accountants
- Support audits, refinancing efforts, and lender reporting requirements
- Assist in improving accounting systems, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
- Oversee third-party property management accounting and reporting where applicable.
- Mentor and support accounting staff as the company continues to grow.
- Maintain a deep, "big-picture" understanding of each asset’s financial and operational performance to provide proactive insights to leadership.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial property accounting (Office, Retail, or Industrial preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Software Savvy: High proficiency in industry-standard software like Yardi, MRI, or RealPage, alongside strong MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
- Communication: You are a skilled communicator capable of managing diverse service providers and adapting your approach to fit the capabilities of various management teams.
- Judgment-First Mindset: You possess the business acumen to identify nuances in property performance that go beyond what is visible on a spreadsheet.
- Attention to Detail & Scope: You maintain meticulous accuracy in financial oversight while never losing sight of the broader portfolio strategy.
- Professional Maturity: You thrive in roles that demand high-level judgment over repetitive, transaction-focused tasks.
