Site Director – School Age Care Program
Do you enjoy working with children, building relationships, and leading a team? The Putnam County School Age Care (SAC) Program is looking for a caring, organized, and enthusiastic Site Director to help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for students and staff.
As a Site Director, you'll be the leader of a school-based before and after school program, helping children learn, grow, and thrive while supporting families and mentoring staff. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who loves working with people, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to make a positive impact in their community.
What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operations of a School Age Care site
- Create and oversee engaging activities for children
- Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners
- Schedule, supervise, and support program staff
- Maintain student records and ensure required documentation is complete
- Manage tuition collection, account records, and program paperwork
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, program policies, and safety standards
- Coordinate with school administrators and district personnel
- Communicate regularly with program leadership regarding site operations
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and child-focused environment
What We're Looking For

- Positive interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Physical examination required before employment
- Completion of annual professional development requirements
- Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of using the appropriate judgement for the care of children, and otherwise performing his/her duties satisfactorily.
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 4 years of related experience; OR
- 60 college credit hours and at least 2 years of related experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience

Position Details
- 12-Month Position
- Part Time, not to exceed 29 hours per week
- School-based work environment
- Hourly rate begins at $18.86
