The Lexington Senior Centers are looking for Art Instructors!
Do you have experience teaching art classes?
Do you enjoy working with Senior adults?
- Rate of pay is $15.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience

Classes are scheduled Monday- Friday between 8 am. - 4 pm., with hours ranging between 4 and 15 hours per week. (No benefits are included)

Class topics include but are not limited to watercolor, pastels, charcoal, drawing, sketching, oil painting, and mixed media

May be subject to criminal record check
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
-
Experience in art education or teaching art classes

Experience working with adults aged 60 and older

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage a classroom setting
Responsibilities may include:

Plans and instructs structured art classes for adults/seniors

Provides clear demonstrations and individualized guidance
-
Fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Adapts instruction to accommodate varying skill levels and physical abilities

Monitors classroom supplies and relays need to supervisor
Maintains a friendly, professional demeanor with all members and staff
