Job Overview
A Warehouse Specialist is responsible for overseeing our warehouse operations at Worldwide Glass Resources a leading manufacturer of vial glass. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining inventory accuracy while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package finished products for shipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against purchase orders.
- Process incoming materials by verifying quantity and quality and recording discrepancies.
- Organize and store received materials in designated locations.
- Update inventory management systems to reflect incoming stock.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with production and shipping teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and team performance.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all warehouse transactions, including shipping and receiving.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or glass production.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
Physical Demands
- Requires long periods of standing, some bending and lifting.
- Able to work in hot conditions during summer season.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
