Job Overview:
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by building relationships with carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring on-time delivery for our customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking companies and carrier partners.
- Source and secure capacity for customer freight by negotiating rates and booking shipments.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery, addressing any issues proactively.
- Build a network of reliable carriers to improve service levels and optimize cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales team to match carriers with customer shipping needs.
- Maintain accurate records of carrier agreements, pricing, and load tracking in our system.
- Stay up to date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation sales (preferred but not required).
- 4 year college degree (preferred)
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS experience is a plus).
- A self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset.
