Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Northshore Academy Upper School (NSAU)Ref #: NSAU2027CType: Part-Time, PermanentTarget Start Date: August 31, 2026About the RoleNorthshore Academy Upper School is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team supporting students in grades 712. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-driven professional with a strong ability to foster communication development and social pragmatic growth in students with diverse learning needs. This is a part-time position 3 days per week and benefits eligible.As a key member of our team, the SLP will conduct comprehensive assessments, design and deliver individualized and group therapy, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff. This role is ideal for an SLP who values student-centered care, teamwork, and a supportive educational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough speech-language evaluations to determine student strengths, challenges, and intervention needs.Develop individualized goals and treatment plans, including accommodations, in collaboration with the IEP Team.Provide direct therapy services individually and in groups, focusing on receptive/expressive language and social communication skills.Communicate regularly with families and team members to support student progress.Document student progress and maintain compliance with all regulatory and programmatic requirements.Contribute to team meetings and professional development activities.QualificationsRequired: Masters degree in Communication Disorders.Valid Massachusetts DESE Certification: Specialist Teacher, Speech/Language/Hearing Disorders (all levels).Massachusetts State License in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.Experience working with students experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, or Autism Spectrum Disorders.Preferred: Expertise in social-pragmatic communication and use of social thinking frameworks.Why Join Us?Northshore Academy is a collaborative and innovative educational community committed to helping every student reach their potential.
