In this role, you'll be a trusted guide for our patients, walking alongside them from their very first visit through every step of their care journey. Responsibilities
- Welcome new patients and guide them through initial exams and commitment to care.
- Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling that meets both patient needs and provider availability
- Assist and help turn the doctor's recommendations into a clear, personalized care plan
- Track patient progress, conduct re-examinations, and educate patients on their plan of care
- Coach patients toward better habits and follow up with anyone who has missed an appointment
- Guide patients through completion of care: final exams, next-step recommendations, and re-signing into ongoing care
- Maintain accurate, thoughtful records of every patient's care plan
- Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Help set and reach goals for patient re-signs and related collections
- Support clinic operations, including equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and safety
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and communicate coverage details clearly to patients
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing questions and providing guidance on treatment plans or administrative procedures
- Support medical administrative tasks such as preparing documentation, handling correspondence, and managing patient intake forms
- Ensure compliance with health regulation policies and confidentiality standards at all times
- Assist in billing processes by explaining insurance benefits and payment options to patients
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and patient-coaching skills
- Proven experience working in a medical office setting, preferably with dental, Functional and Regenerative health care or general healthcare practices
- Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and medical terminology
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Familiarity with health regulation policies and privacy standards such as HIPAA
- Effective communication skills to interact empathetically with patients and team members
- Office experience that demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a proactive attitude
