Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-maintained floors
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when required, including high dusting or specialized cleaning projects
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
- Maintain cleanliness of designated areas consistently throughout the shift and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial and residential cleaning standards
- Skilled in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness
- Strong physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
