In this role, you will collaborate with operators and engineers to resolve issues, optimize production lines, and maintain accurate process documentation. Your expertise in extrusion and thermoforming processes will drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with shift operators and process engineers to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Support line setups and changeovers to bring lines into production efficiently, optimizing throughput.
- Maintain and update process sheets to ensure accuracy and relevance, facilitating consistent production practices.
- Lead efforts to improve process capabilities by analyzing data, contributing to programs, and exploring new technologies.
- Operate and troubleshoot processes and equipment to resolve complex issues, working with maintenance, automation, and tooling teams.
- Implement and execute programs to enhance overall product quality and line efficiencies, reducing waste.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in plastics processing, including forming and extrusion.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively train, communicate, and lead team members.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with safety policies and procedures, upholding safety standards.
- Experience working with machinery and tooling.
- Understanding of machining and material flow practices for extrusion and thermoforming.
- Two or four-year technical degree or certification.
- Project team coordination experience.
- Experience with FEA (finite element analysis) and quality gauges to support a zero part defect environment.
