Floater Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom coverage during teacher lunches and breaks.
- Support classrooms experiencing staffing shortages or increased supervision needs.
- Assist with afternoon classroom combinations and transitions.
- Maintain compliance with classroom ratios at all times.
- Support closing classrooms and end-of-day procedures.
- Assist with cleaning, organization, and classroom readiness as needed.
- Provide support during outdoor play, transitions, and high-traffic periods throughout the day.
- Communicate directly with leadership regarding classroom coverage concerns or immediate support needs.
Qualifications
- Strong classroom management and communication skills with experience working with children and students
- Background in childcare or early childhood education; hands-on classroom experience
- Ability to plan, organize, and support literacy and math activities; basic lesson planning knowledge
- Familiarity with behavior management and creating a safe, tidy, and organized learning environment
- Experience in daycare, preschool, or private school settings; comfort working with diverse learners
- Optional: training in special education, autism support, or curriculum development
- Must a CDA in Infant and Toddlers this is a requirement for this position.
Pay: $18.40 per hour
