We are looking for an Medical Assistant instructor. We offer hybrid programs which include lecture via Zoom class, and lab in our facilities in Orlando. Our Medical Assistant curriculum includes both phlebotomy and EKG so candidate must be proficient and knowledgeable in both areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in team meetings
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and/or weekend assignments
Preferred bilingual english-spanish
Requirements:
- Valid state or national licensure in a Healthcare field (e.g., Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Medical Assisting; Physician Assistant; Clinical Laboratory Sciences);
- Knowledge and/or experience in phlebotomy
- Knowledge and/or experience in EKG
Work experience in a Healthcare field (e.g., Nursing; Physician; Emergency Medical Services; Medical Assisting; Physician Assistant; Clinical Laboratory Sciences)
Prior teaching experience
Valid practitioner license (state or national MA, PA, LPN, etc)
Candidates without a valid license will not be processed for consideration.
Schedules available:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-1:00pm
Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-9:00pm
Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm
Remarks:
Florida Health Care Academy will provide training and class materials to instructor before classes start as well as lesson plans and material.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
