Overview
Looking for someone who can work well with a team in a fast paced environment. We are a high volume, tourism based brewery/full restaurant right on the water in Astoria, OR. We do a revenue share model; so pay is hourly, plus percentage of daily sales added to your check.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Handle food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to detail and presentation
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure optimal temperature and presentation for guests or customers
- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe dining environment
Skills
- Strong kitchen experience with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
- Proper knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Experience in food safety practices including proper storage, handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and serving staff to deliver seamless service
