Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Line Cook to join our team at Trail87. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes that reflect the creativity and excellence we’re known for. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment where local ingredients and innovative techniques take center stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies before service.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation and maintain efficiency during busy service times.
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or needs to kitchen management.
- Ensure all dishes are presented according to plating standards with attention to detail.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and modern cooking techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for creative, high-quality cuisine.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary school training or relevant certifications are a plus.
