Armed Security Officer - Downtown
Description:Are you a dedicated and professional security officer with a passion for protecting people and property? Allstate Security is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our team in Downtown. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and acting as a professional representative of both Allstate Security and our client.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and capable of responding calmly and effectively to a variety of situations. Officers are expected to maintain a visible security presence, enforce site policies, deter criminal activity, and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and the public when needed. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and professionalism are essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

Patrol assigned property regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Monitor the premises for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.

Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.

Enforce client policies, post orders, and company procedures.

Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentation.

Maintain a visible and professional security presence to deter criminal activity.

Communicate effectively with client representatives, management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.

Conduct routine security inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.

Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications

Active California BSIS Guard Card.

Active BSIS Firearm Permit.

Minimum of 1–2 years of armed security experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Reliable transportation.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must successfully pass a background check and any client-required screening.
Preferred Qualifications

Military or law enforcement experience is a plus.

CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Work Environment
This position is assigned to a downtown location and requires maintaining a professional presence in a public-facing environment. Officers must remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and provide exceptional service while ensuring the safety and security of the property, employees, visitors, and assets.
