Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development and curiosity
- Support daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and sensory play with patience and care
- Observe and document individual progress, sharing insights with the teaching team to tailor learning experiences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Engage with children through play, communication, and caregiving to foster emotional security and social skills
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Support classroom management strategies to ensure a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
Skills
- Experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent routines for young children
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, parents, and caregivers
