Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Louisiana DOE Certification as an Educational Diagnostician (required)
- Experience conducting educational diagnostics in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of evaluation procedures, special education eligibility, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and adjust to multiple school assignments
- Completion of drug screen and fingerprinting required prior to start
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and determine eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design appropriate educational interventions and supports
- Prepare clear and concise evaluation reports, documenting findings and recommendations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing professional insights
- Travel to assigned schools in the Harvey, LA area as needed—assignments and caseload details to be determined
- Maintain up-to-date compliance with district and state policies related to special education evaluation
This contract runs from August 3, 2026 to May 27, 2027, spanning 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily.
