Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Criminal Law (New Jersey)
Location: Livingston, NJ (Full-Time, Onsite – 5 Days Per Week)
Salary: $75,000–$107,500 (commensurate with experience and billable capabilities)

The firm is currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal with a strong background in New Jersey criminal law to join its team. This is an immediate hire for a seasoned professional who can work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal assistant and paralegal support in New Jersey criminal law matters.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files.
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case scheduling.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and external parties.
- Maintain accurate case records and assist with billable legal work.
- Work proactively with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Requirements
- Verifiable experience in New Jersey criminal law is essential. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal within a criminal law practice.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Spanish language skills are preferred but not essential.
- Must be available to work full-time from the firm's Livingston, NJ office, five days per week.
Compensation & Benefits
