We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for River Bluff patients in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.
- Shift Differentials for PM is $1.50 and Nights is $1.00 an hour
- FT $31-36

- Administers medications and treatments to residents; feedings, etc.; checks and administers narcotics.
- Maintains accurate patient reports and charts; reports daily on patient transactions to relieving shifts.
- Assists physician in conducting unit rounds; reports resident's symptoms and condition to physician; notifies physician in case of emergency; obtains, transcribes and carries out physician orders.
- Gives direct patient care which cannot be carried out by non-professional personnel; gives assistance to CNA or Unit Attendant when necessary.
- Conducts meetings with staff as necessary.
- Attends fire and disaster drills, in-service training programs and a variety of required meetings, including supervisory meetings, safety meetings, etc.
- Performs all duties in accordance with County policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Certification of graduation from a school of practical nursing.
- Current Illinois license as a practical nurse.
- Ability to deal effectively with geriatric and multiple-handicapped persons.
- Ability to function effectively in an emergency situation; maintain a composed manner of self and staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with professional and non-professional personnel, patients and the general public.
