Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Estimator for an immediate hire in Melbourne, FL

PAY: $60,000-80,000/year base salary + performance-based commission (based on project profitability and estimate accuracy)
HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8-10-hour days starting at 7:00 am-5:00 pm
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday; approximately 40-50 hours/week
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: This is anticipated to be a long-term/direct hire position
Estimator Job Description:
The Estimator will support both electrical and low-voltage structured cabling projects by producing accurate, compliant, and timely estimates. This role will assist with pre-construction activities, including vendor coordination, takeoffs, pricing, value engineering, and proposal development. The ideal candidate is disciplined, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications for Estimator:
- Experience in electrical and/or low-voltage estimating preferred
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience performing takeoffs and preparing detailed estimates/proposals
- Familiarity with estimating software, including Intellibid Electrical Estimating preferred
- Ability to coordinate vendor and supplier pricing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating with Project Managers, vendors, and leadership teams
- Experience supporting structured cabling and electrical projects preferred
- Must be able to safely use standard office/computer equipment and PPE when required
- Must be able to perform job duties that may require standing, walking job sites, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted

- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation
- Pre-employment background and drug screening
Performance Expectations:
- Meet bid turnaround targets (3–10 business days depending on project size)
- Maintain proposal compliance and estimating process standards
- Support the reduction of leadership estimating workload
- Contribute to building a scalable and efficient estimating process
