Job Purpose
The Senior Electronics Technician is responsible for carrying out more advanced tasks and projects as assigned by the Technical Teams Director. They are to assist customers with troubleshooting via phone and email, and assist customers in store.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for bench testing of marine electronics products – may specialize in brand or product line.
- Organize and sort incoming inventory in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and repair marine equipment.
- Provide customer support via phone and email during business hours – either pre-sale or post.
- Clean, photograph and list tested equipment to MME website and eBay store.
- Create accurate, dynamic, and thoughtful product descriptions in accordance with MME and eBay site
- regulations.
- Operate various lift trucks and material handling equipment as necessary to complete job requirements.
- Sanding, Grinding and minor fabrication of existing and new parts to aide in the repair process.
- Maintain a safe work area.
- Assist Associate Marine Electronics Technicians in day-to-day tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Experience with Low Voltage Electricity.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Experience building and terminating various network and video cables.
- Working familiarity with NMEA0183, NMEA2000 (Certs Preferred), and Serial Data.
- Proficiency with board level repairs.
Working conditions
Outdoor work may be required. May be required to work outside of normal working hours as needed. May be required to use manlift 25' off the ground.
Hours are 8:30a-5:30p
Physical requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, repetitive movement, lifting of objects up to 70 pounds.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
