THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced immigration litigator to join us as Of Counsel. You will independently manage a removal defense docket, appear before Immigration Judges and the BIA, and collaborate with our principal attorney on complex matters. This is a flexible arrangement — ideal for an experienced attorney seeking meaningful work with scheduling autonomy. Physical appearance in Dallas and Houston Courts is expected.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent clients at EOIR master calendar and individual merits hearings
- Prepare and argue asylum, cancellation, CAT, adjustment, and waiver cases
- Draft and argue motions — to terminate, suppress, reopen, reconsider, and continue
- Brief and argue before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Handle bond hearings and detained docket cases
- Conduct witness preparation and examination at merits hearings
- Advise clients on removal proceedings, relief options, and strategy
REQUIREMENTS
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar license in good standing
- 4+ years of immigration litigation experience with hands-on EOIR practice
- Experience independently handling individual merits hearings before an IJ
- Experience before the BIA (briefing and arguing)
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage an active, deadline-driven docket independently
PREFERRED
- Federal court / Circuit Court petition for review experience
- Detained docket experience
- Prior DHS, ICE, or EOIR prosecutorial experience

Pay: $85.00 - $115.00 per hour
