You will expertly communicate vehicle needs, recommend services, and coordinate repairs to keep our customers’ vehicles running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, emphasizing the value of recommended services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspensions, transmissions, and diesel engine repairs.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using automotive diagnostics tools and service writing software.
- Sell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety while respecting customer budgets.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain meticulous records of all service orders and payments.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of dealership or shop services including auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other specialty repairs to better assist customers.
Experience
- Previous auto service advisor background is highly preferred.
- Proven success in selling automotive services while providing exceptional customer service.
- Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics expertise to understand complex repair needs.
- Familiarity with Tekmetric software and service writing processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, and alignments.
- Experience in automotive repair shops or service technician roles is a plus.
