Position Overview
HOV Law PLLC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Orlando office.
This position is intended for a skilled paralegal who already understands Florida civil litigation and can produce accurate, polished work with limited supervision. The Litigation Paralegal will work directly with the firm’s attorneys on personal injury and civil litigation matters from the filing of the lawsuit through settlement or trial.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple litigation files and deadlines.
This is a full-time, in-office position.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Currently registered with The Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal
- Minimum of three years of Florida civil litigation experience
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, discovery, notices, subpoenas, affidavits, and other litigation documents
- Experience conducting legal research and locating relevant Florida statutes, rules, and case law
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
- Experience with Florida state court filing procedures and the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
- Strong legal writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Ability to work independently while following attorney direction
Personal injury litigation experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
The Litigation Paralegal’s responsibilities will include:
- Drafting motions, pleadings, notices, subpoenas, affidavits, proposed orders, and other court filings
- Preparing and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, and other discovery
- Conducting legal research and preparing summaries of relevant case law
- Reviewing medical records, discovery materials, deposition transcripts, and case documents
- Preparing medical chronologies, damages summaries, and case timelines
- Calendaring and monitoring court deadlines, discovery deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates
- Coordinating depositions, hearings, mediations, expert examinations, and other litigation events
- Preparing exhibits, hearing materials, deposition materials, mediation materials, and trial binders
- Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, experts, medical providers, and vendors
- Maintaining complete and organized electronic case files
- Identifying missing information, upcoming deadlines, and potential issues before they become problems
- Assisting attorneys with case preparation from initial filing through settlement or trial

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
