We're growing, and we're looking for a skilled, motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team.
Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician with IV/sterile compounding and specialty drug experience to support our infusion pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in a home infusion, hospital, or specialty pharmacy setting, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for patient-centered care. You'll play a key role in preparing sterile products, managing specialty medication workflows, and ensuring every patient receives safe, timely, and accurate therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile compounded IV admixtures under pharmacist supervision in compliance with USP <797> standards
- Assist with specialty medication dispensing, labeling, and packaging, including cold chain products
- Maintain cleanroom compliance: environmental monitoring, cleaning logs, garbing, and aseptic technique
- Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, stock rotation, expiration checks, and DSCSA compliance
- Coordinate supply kits and delivery logistics for home infusion patients
- Support intake and insurance verification processes, including documentation for prior authorizations
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, nurses, and referral sources
- Maintain accurate records in the pharmacy management system
- Support accreditation readiness (ACHC) and participate in quality/performance improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience with sterile IV compounding
- Working knowledge of USP <797> sterile compounding standards and aseptic technique
- Experience handling specialty and/or infusion medications (e.g., IVIG, biologics, antibiotics, TPN)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB National Certification (CPhT)
- Experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or hospital IV room settings
- Familiarity with cold chain shipping and handling requirements
- Experience with accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC) and compliance documentation
- Knowledge of insurance billing, benefits verification, or prior authorization workflows
